North Walsham is a market town and civil parish in Norfolk, England, within the North Norfolk district. The town is located 7.5 mi (12.1 km) south of Cromer and the same distance north of Wroxham; the county town and city of Norwich is 15 mi (24 km) south. The civil parish has an area of 11.3 sq mi (29 km2) and in the 2011 census had a population of 12,634. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of North Norfolk. The town is served by North Walsham railway station, on the Bittern Line between Norwich, Cromer and Sheringham. Services run generally hourly in both directions and are operated by Greater Anglia.
