Petrov is a municipality and village in Hodonín District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,300 inhabitants. Petrov is located about 11 kilometres (7 mi) east of Hodonín. The Radějovka stream and the Baťa Canal flow through the municipality. It lies in a flat landscape of the Lower Morava Valley. The Kyjovka River flows west of the town and supplies several fish ponds. The first written mention of Petrov is from 1412, however it was founded probably between 1391 and 1400.
