Hrádek (help·info) (Polish: Gródek, German: Grudek) is a municipality and village in Frýdek-Místek District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,900 inhabitants. The municipality has a significant Polish minority. The name of the municipality is a diminutive form of the word "gord" (Czech: hradiště, Polish: gród). Hrádek is located about 27 kilometres (17 mi) east of Frýdek-Místek and 37 km (23 mi) southeast of Ostrava. lies in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia on the Olza River.
