Roudnice is a municipality and village in Hradec Králové District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 700 inhabitants. The name is derived from the red shades of color (in Czech rudá) of the water in the eponymous local brook, caused by the ore subsoil. Roudnice is located about 12 kilometres (7 mi) west of Hradec Králové. It lies in a flat agricultural landscape of the East Elbe Table.
