Sekule (Hungarian: Székelyfalva) is a village and municipality in Senica District in the Trnava Region of western Slovakia. The name is derived from the ethnonym Székelys (Slovak: Sikuli), one of the tribes who guarded the frontier area. In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1402. The municipality lies at an altitude of 158 metres (518 ft) and covers an area of 23.24 km2 (8.97 sq mi) (2025). It has a population of 1745 people (31 December 2025). More information...
