Vrdy is a municipality and village in Kutná Hora District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,200 inhabitants. Villages of Dolní Bučice, Horní Bučice and Zbyslav are administrative parts of Vrdy. Vrdy is located about 15 kilometres (9 mi) east of Kutná Hora and 24 km (15 mi) southwest of Pardubice. It lies in a flat agricultural landscape of the Central Elbe Table. The Doubrava River flows through the municipality. The first written mention of Vrdy is from 1307.
