Želiv (German: Seelau) is a municipality and village in Pelhřimov District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,100 inhabitants. Villages of Bolechov, Brtná, Lhotice, Lískovice, Miletín, Vitice and Vřesník are administrative parts of Želiv. Želiv is located about 11 kilometres (7 mi) north of Pelhřimov, 30 kilometres (19 mi) northwest of Jihlava, and 76 kilometres (47 mi) southeast of Prague. It lies in the Křemešník Highlands.
