Oberbuchsiten is a municipality in the district of Gäu in the canton of Solothurn in Switzerland. Oberbuchsiten is first mentioned in 1040 as vico Buxita. In 1308 it was mentioned as ze Obern Buchsiten. Oberbuchsiten has an area, as of 2009, of 9.4 square kilometers (3.6 sq mi).
