Pascal Canfin (born in Arras, 22 August 1974) is a French politician of La République en marche (LREM) who has been serving as a Member of the European Parliament (EUP) since 2019. In the 2019 elections for the UE Parliament, he was elected in the list of Renew Europe group and serves as chair of the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee; following his initiative, the European Parliament declares in December 2019 a "climate state of emergency" Canfin was formerly the head of the French section of WWF until 25 March 2019, and Minister for Development under the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Ayrault Cabinet.
