Pleigne is a municipality in the district of Delémont in the canton of Jura in Switzerland. Pleigne is first mentioned in 1179 as Plenna. The municipality was formerly known by its German name Pleen, however, that name is no longer used. Pleigne has an area of 17.84 km2 (6.89 sq mi). Of this area, 8.42 km2 (3.25 mi2) or 47.2% is used for agricultural purposes, while 8.78 km2 (3.39 mi2) or 49.2% is forested.
