In February 2019, the company filed for bankruptcy as it was unable to sell assets to repay its debt. It has an estimated debt of ₹500 billion (equivalent to ₹530 billion or US$6.6 billion in 2020) against assets worth ₹180 billion (equivalent to ₹190 billion or US$2.4 billion in 2020).
