Romanel-sur-Lausanne (French pronunciation: (listen), literally Romanel on Lausanne; Arpitan: Romanél) is a municipality in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, located in the district of Lausanne. Romanel-sur-Lausanne is first mentioned in 1184 as Romanes. Romanel-sur-Lausanne has an area, as of 2009, of 2.88–2.92 square kilometers (1.11–1.13 sq mi) (depending on calculation method).
