Saint-Thurien (French pronunciation: ​; Breton: Sant-Turian) is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France. It takes its name from Saint Turiaf of Dol, bishop of the ancient Diocese of Dol. Inhabitants of Saint-Thurien are called in French Thuriennois. Saint-Thurien is located in the southeastern part of Finistère, 11 km (6.8 mi) northwest of Quimperlé, 30 km (19 mi) northwest of Lorient and 35 km (22 mi) east of Quimper. Historically, the town belongs to Cornouaille. It lies in the valley of the river Isole.
