Salem Township is a township in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,019 at the 2020 census. The Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, a nuclear power plant, is located in Salem. The first white colonists in modern-day Salem Township were from Connecticut.
