Oleh Yuriyovych Skrypka (Ukrainian: Оле́г Ю́рійович Скри́пка, romanized: Oleh Yuriiovych Skrypka, pronounced ; born 24 May 1964) is a Ukrainian musician, vocalist, composer, and leader of the group Vopli Vidoplyasova. Oleh Skrypka was born in Sovetabad (now Ghafurov, Tajikistan). His father Yuri Pavlovich (died 30 August 2015), a radiologist, came from Hiltsi , a village in the Poltava region of Ukraine. His mother Anna Alekseevna, a teacher, came from a small village in the Kursk region of Russia.
