Small Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SMBDA) (Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Respublikasının Kiçik və Orta Biznesin İnkişafı Agentliyi) is a public legal entity that supports the development of micro, small and medium businesses (SMB) in Azerbaijan, and provides support and a range of services to entrepreneurs, as well as coordinates and regulates public services in this area. On December 28, 2017, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of Azerbaijan was established by presidential decree. Later, on June 26, 2018, the agency was renamed to the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and its charter and structure were also adopted by presidential decree.
