Stäfa is a municipality in the district of Meilen in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland. Stäfa has an area of 8.6 km2 (3.3 sq mi). Of this area, 46.1% is used for agricultural purposes, while 18.8% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 34% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (1%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains). In 1996 housing and buildings made up 26.7% of the total area, while transportation infrastructure made up the rest (7.2%).
