The Venezuelan banking regulator estimated that Venezuelans had placed around $2.5bn in deposits with Stanford International. Stanford Bank Venezuela (SBV) was a subsidiary holding company of Stanford International, operating and licensed accorded the laws and regulations within Venezuela.
