Suhr is a municipality in the district of Aarau of the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. Suhr has an area, as of 2006, of 10.6 km2 (4.1 sq mi). Of this area, 29.9% is used for agricultural purposes, while 44.4% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 25.2% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.5%) is non-productive (rivers or lakes). The blazon of the municipal coat of arms is Gules a Latin Cross pattee Argent and in Chief two Mullets of Five of the same and Coupeaux Vert. Suhr has a population (as of 31 December 2020) of 10,724. As of 2008, 30.5% of the population was made up of foreign nationals. Over the last 10 years the population has grown at a rate of 19.2%.
