Světlá nad Sázavou (Czech pronunciation: [ˈsvjɛtlaː ˈnat saːzavou]; German: Swietla ob der Sasau) is a town in Havlíčkův Brod District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 6,300 inhabitants. Villages and hamlets of Benetice, Dolní Březinka, Dolní Dlužiny, Horní Březinka, Horní Dlužiny, Josefodol, Kochánov, Leštinka, Lipnička, Mrzkovice, Opatovice, Radostovice, Závidkovice and Žebrákov are administrative parts of Světlá nad Sázavou. Světlá nad Sázavou is located about 14 kilometres (9 mi) northwest of Havlíčkův Brod and 32 km (20 mi) northwest of Jihlava. It lies in the Upper Sázava Hills.
