Theodora Goss (born September 30, 1968) is a Hungarian-American fiction writer and poet. Her writing has been nominated for major awards, including the Nebula, Locus, Mythopoeic, World Fantasy, and Seiun Awards. Her short fiction and poetry have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies, including Year's Best volumes. Theodora Goss was born in Hungary and immigrated to the United States as a child. She received her B.A. from the University of Virginia, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in English from Boston University She is also a graduate of the Odyssey and Clarion writing workshops, and sold her first published story, "The Rose in Twelve Petals," while a student at Clarion.
