Kobierzyce [kɔbjɛˈʐɨt͡sɛ] (German: Koberwitz) is a village in Wrocław County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Kobierzyce. It lies approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław. The village has a population of 2,095. The oldest known mention of the village comes from a document of Duke Henry III the White from 1257, when it was part of fragmented Piast-ruled Poland.
