Velké Popovice (German: Groß Popowitz) is a municipality and village in Prague-East District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,300 inhabitants. Villages of Brtnice, Dub, Dubiny, Klenové, Krámský, Křivá Ves, Lojovice, Mokřany and Řepčice are administrative parts of Velké Popovice. Velké Popovice is located about 15 kilometres (9 mi) southeast of Prague. It lies in the Benešov Uplands. The highest point is at 485 m (1,591 ft) above sea level.
