The Roman Catholic Diocese of Vellore (Latin: Velloren(sis)) is a diocese located in the city of Vellore in the Ecclesiastical province of Madras and Mylapore in India. It was established as a Diocese of Vellore on 13 November 1952 from the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Madras. The Diocese of Vellore was started by Salesians in 1952 carving out a portion from the Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore. Further, in 1969, a few parishes from the Archdiocese of Pondicherry-Cuddalore were attached to this Diocese. It comprises two civil districts namely Vellore and Tiruvannamalai.
