L'Isle-Adam (French pronunciation: (listen)) is a commune in the Val-d'Oise department in Île-de-France in northern France. The small town beside the river Oise has a long sandy beach and attracts visitors from Paris. L'Isle-Adam is a commune and town in north central Val-d'Oise. It is located on the left bank of the River Oise immediately opposite the town of Parmain which is on the right bank, about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Paris, 12 kilometres (7 mi) north of Pontoise and 35 kilometres (22 mi) south of Beauvais.
