Saint-Amand-Montrond (French pronunciation: (listen)) is a commune in the Cher department in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France and the historical province of Bourbonnais. Saint-Amand-Montrond literally translates to Saint Amand round hill, despite not being on a round hill. A small town of farming and a little light industry situated some 26 miles (42 km) southeast of Bourges, at the junction of the D951 with the D300 and D2144 roads.
