Villeneuve (French pronunciation: (listen)) is a municipality of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, located in the district of Aigle. As of December 2018, it had a population of 5771. Villeneuve has an area, as of 2009, of 32.04 square kilometers (12.37 sq mi). Of this area, 8.56 km2 (3.31 sq mi) or 26.7% is used for agricultural purposes, while 17.69 km2 (6.83 sq mi) or 55.2% is forested.
