Zašová is a municipality and village in Vsetín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,000 inhabitants. Zašová lies approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) north of Vsetín, 39 km (24 mi) north-east of Zlín, and 269 km (167 mi) east of Prague. The village of Veselá is an administrative part od Zašová. Zašová was founded in the 14th century. In 1985, the municipality of Veselá was merged with Zašová. Zašová is twinned with: Zašová also cooperates with Veľký Meder and Vrútky in Slovakia.
