Žďár nad Sázavou (Czech pronunciation: [ˈʒɟaːr ˈnat saːzavou]; German: Saar) is a town in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 20,000 inhabitants. The town is both industrial and tourist centre. It is known for the Pilgrimage Church of Saint John of Nepomuk, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Town parts of Žďár nad Sázavou 1–8 and villages of Mělkovice, Radonín, Stržanov and Veselíčko are administrative parts of Žďár nad Sázavou.
