Numerous examples reveal the existence of two Dawns who are sisters - the Morning Dawn (Utrennyaya Zarya) and the Evening Dawn (Vechernyaya Zarya). The latter refers to the after-glow of sunset and is frequently contrasted with the morning or 'white' dawn, with the midnight period as the mean between the two extremes.
