(Elwyn L. Simons und Shiv Raj Kumar Chopra: Gigantopithecus (Pongidae, Hominoidea) a new species from north India. In: Postilla. Nr. 138, Yale Peabody Museum 1969, Zusammenfassung.) New Siwalik Primates and Their Bearing on the Question of the Evolution of Man and the Anthropoidea. In: Records of the Geological Survey of India. Band 45, Nr. 1, 1915, S. 1–74; hier: 27–29; Volltext.) (David W. Cameron: The taxonomic status of the Siwalik late Miocene hominid Indopithecus (= Gigantopithecus). In: Himalayan Geology. Band 22, 2001, S. 29–34, Zusammenfassung.)
