Eine ausführliche Familienbiographie Zimmers (mit zahlreichen historischen Abbildungen) findet sich unter [1]. Zimmer veröffentlichte in Deutschland auch einige Bücher im Selbstverlag und edierte die Schrift Das ist Chiropraktik! von J. S. Riley mit folgender Empfehlung unter Angabe seiner Dresdner Adresse: "Gesunden, Kranken und Nervenleidenden – Mit einem freundlichen 'Grüß Gott!' – Überreicht von Gustav A. Zimmer – US-amerikanischer Chiropraktiker und Osteopath – In Dresden=A.24, Nürnberger Straße 40. Diese Broschüre erschien später im „Hedwig Zimmer’s Buchverlag für Chiropraktik und medizinlose Heilweisen“, Dresden und wurde u. a. mit dem Aufdruck „Überreicht von Alfred Singler (Heilpraktiker, Chiropraktiker und Osteopath)“ verbreitet.
