Die Pigotts waren wohl schon früher hier ansässig: Captain John Pigott und Captain John Painter waren 1710 für die New North Sound Division (Gutteil der heutigen St. Georges Parish) ins House of Assembly abgeordnet. Sie waren an der Revolte gegen Governor Colonel Daniel Parke 7. Dezember 1710 beteiligt, und John Pigott soll von der Hand Parkes gefallen sein.
