Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) Director-General Tu Wei (杜微) on Thursday apologized to the families of those who died in a train crash two years ago, after numerous items relating to the victims, including human remains, were discovered in the carriages. ... Over the past week, dozens of "non-train related items" -- including two teeth and 18 bone fragments, as well as what is suspected to be part of a human skull -- were discovered by prosecutors in the eight train carriages in the TRA's Qigu District, Keelung, and Fugang, Taoyuan depots. Fresh searches were launched after Angela Wang (王薇君), the spokesperson for Taroko Tears -- which represents the families of the victims -- discovered part of what is suspected to be a human skull at a ceremony held at the Taoyuan depot to pay tribute to the victims on Aug. 31.
