Assunção 2015 cites a statement by Antônio Bueno Salgado in which, as part of a larger government attack, enemy soldiers climbed into a water tank in Tiradentes Avenue; in response, the rebels (no mention of Eduardo Gomes) fired on the water tank, dislodging the loyalists.
