A total of 107 M. hamiltoni stomachs (out of 849 examined) contained prey remains. These comprised remnants of small fish, some of which were tentatively identified as Myctophidae and Bathylagidae. Large fish scales were also observed, but no other remains facilitating exact species identification were found. No invertebrate remains were observed.
