Crawford, College Midshipman, Of his Majesty' s ship Dublin, then under my command, did jump overboard on the 31st [sic] of September 1834, in Hamoaze, and gallantly saved the life Of David Houston A. B. who had fallen overboard, and must inevitably have perished but for Mr. Crawford' s determined conduct at the moment.
