There was a period of frantic ACM [anticult movement] efforts to obtain CAN's files and logo, and there was even a brief attempt by scrambling ACM activists to resurrect the group, but CAN was irreparably broken. Eventually a new CAN did emerge, but it was headed and staffed at its Los Angeles office largely by Scientologists and sympathizers of that church.
