A later description of Lewis herself was of a "Home Counties heroine [who] seemed most at home in twin set and pearls",[1] although, as noted, she came from Wiltshire, rather than the south-east, and cut her theatrical teeth in Bristol. In addition, her roles on television were diverse. In "The Tin God", Rose gave Drusilla a set of pearls for her birthday, while Halifax bought her a fashionable shift dress that she herself said she would not have dared to buy on her own.
