Devon, Cal Howard did not provide the dialogue for Prince David in GULLIVER'S TRAVELS. That was Jack Mercer's voice, ans anyone who has heard his natural speaking voice would recognize. I've heard Howard's voice, so that was not him. I found Cal Howard's work during his Fleischer-Miami period to be not up to what he did elsewhere. While is stands to reason that Howard did Storyboard work, all accounts credit him with refashioning the story structure on GULLIVER'S TRAVELS. The story has it that he was something of a fast-talking smart-aleck who came in and imposed a lot of changes by saying, "This is how we do it on the west coast". Apparently, Dave Fleischer was taken in by him, and being under pressure to get GULLIVER out, he yielded to Howard's input.
