Translation note: rescate de las comunales in the original translates as "liberation of communal lands". The term comunale (See article "Comunales" in Wikipedia in Spanish) appears in feudalism and was synonymous with the fief, that is, land owned by a landlord, whose exploitation was given to vassals in exchange for rent. With the end of feudalism, it also came to mean municipal land that was leased. However, in practice, many of these lands ended up in the possession of lords, a situation that lasted until the 20th century.
