Fire Commissioner Hugh Bonner, who had been ill of pneumonia for the last two days at his home, 636 West End Avenue, died at 12:30 o'clock this morning. His illness took a turn for the worse in the night. Commissioner Bonner contracted a cold a week ago, but persisted in attending to his duties at his office daily despite the advice of his physician. On Monday he was compelled to take to his bed.
