According to Leontiev, Kakhovskaya was in fact the only woman to serve on the Presidium of the Congress, considering that Spiridonova, although also elected, was not in Petrograd at the time (Leontiev 2010). However, according to Boniece, albeit absent from the first meeting, Spiridonova did attend subsequent sessions of the Presidium (Boniece 1995, pp. 258–262). Further, the Congress proceedings, published in 1928 by the Soviet Tsentrarkhiv (Central Archive) and edited by K. G. Kotelnikov, report that Alexandra Kollontai too was a member of the Presidium as a representative of the Bolsheviks (Second All-Russian Congress of Workers' and Soldiers' Deputies.
