Banned From Television was a compilation of real scenes of extremely violent death, injury and mutilation. The sensationalised commentary, in effect, invited the enjoyment of human suffering. No attempt was made to justify the images by placing the incidents in any journalistic or educational context. The Board concluded that the video was potentially harmful because of its possible influence on attitudes and behaviour, as well as its utter lack of respect for the dignity of human life - and death.
