An article by the producer, David Wishart, about making the recording with Alwyn appeared in Gramophone magazine (July 1997, page 116) and it was reviewed in the July 1997 edition (page 118). It was chosen by Robert Seeley as one of his six recordings of the year for the 1997 Gramophone Critics' Choice annual review (March 1998).
