"Dabei kommt man nicht darum herum, dassder Kindlifresser spätestens seit der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts als christenkinder-ver-zehrender Jude interpretiert wurde." (One cannot avoid the fact that the child-eater has been interpreted as a Christian child-consuming Jew at least since the middle of the 19th century.)
