The victorious Ryukyu Kingdom compiled the Chūzan seikan as its history in the seventeenth century AD, outlining a succession of three early dynasties (Haneji 1983). These were the Tenson dynasty, the Eiso dynasty (AD 1260 to 1349), and the Satto dynasty (AD 1350 to 1405).
