Mississippi's first nine state parks were built by the CCC. "By July, 1935, a total of nine new parks were under construction. These nine were Leroy Percy in
Washington County; Tombigbee in Lee County; Clarkco in Clarke County; Legion in Winston
County; Tishomingo in Tishomingo County; Holmes County; Roosevelt in Scott County; Spring
