Mme. Louise Homer, noted contralto, who thrilled Metropolitan Opera audiences as Amneris in 'Aida' and in other famous roles, died here this afternoon of a heart ailment at the age of 76. She had been in ill health since the death of her youngest daughter, Joy, on Oct. 23.
