The Tambunan district has several tourist attractions including the Mahua waterfalls located about 26 kilometres from Tambunan. The 17 metre high waterfalls located within the Crocker Range Park is managed by Sabah Parks, under Sabah's Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment. It was opened in June 2003, and since then the number of local and foreign visitors coming there has been rising with 14,000 visiting the place last year.
